Tape Ball Theatricals is back for a second season with Hadestown: Teen Edition, a smash-hit folk opera.

This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.​​

ELIGIBILITY:
-
Open to students entering grade 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 2026 high school graduate
-
Completed registration & paperwork by parent/guardian
-
$175 registration fee (includes t-shirt, tech week meals, cast party, and minimum 50 hours with trained teaching artists)
-
Completion of a singing & dance audition or tech crew application
-
No more than 1 week (5 sessions, approximately 20 hours) of scheduling conflicts
-
NO conflicts during tech week or performances (this includes leaving early or arriving late)
-
Adherence to all Tape Ball Theatricals policies
FEES:
$175 per student
$50 deposit due at registration

An audition or tech crew application cannot be completed until a non-refundable $50 deposit is received. All fees must be paid in full by the company meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026 in order for the student to participate.

In cases of financial need where this fee is a barrier to your participation, please contact team@tapeballtheatricals.org. We aim to not turn away any student because of inability to pay.
